Warehouse Sanitation Associate

Location: Harrisburg, PA
Schedule: Full-Time
Pay: $14 - $15.50/hr (depends on shift)

Position Summary

The Warehouse Sanitation Associate is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and food-grade warehouse environment. This role supports company sanitation, safety, and food safety standards by cleaning warehouse areas, restocking supplies, operating sanitation equipment, and ensuring all facility areas remain organized and compliant.

Responsibilities

• Restock supplies in bathrooms, breakrooms, and coffee stations throughout the facility

• Sweep warehouse aisles, dock areas, and common spaces

• Empty and clean trash and recycling containers

• Operate balers to dispose of cardboard and shrink wrap safely

• Clean spills, debris, and waste throughout warehouse and exterior property areas

• Floor scrub warehouse aisles, dock areas, and workspaces

• Clean walls, ledges, breakrooms, bathrooms, and common areas

• Maintain parking lots, sidewalks, and outdoor areas

• Assist with snow removal and maintaining safe walking surfaces

• Follow all sanitation, GMP, food safety, and allergen control procedures

• Complete daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly sanitation tasks

• Support additional warehouse and facility projects as assigned

Qualifications

• Previous sanitation, janitorial, warehouse, or manufacturing experience preferred

• Experience operating warehouse equipment is a plus

• Knowledge of food safety, GMP, 5S, or Lean Manufacturing principles preferred

• Experience using balers and sanitation equipment preferred

• Hazardous material training or experience is a plus

• Ability to work independently and maintain high cleanliness standards

Equipment Experience Preferred

• Rider pallet jack

• Sit-down forklift

• Floor scrubber (ride-on or walk-behind)

• Scissor lift or other mobile work platforms

• Cardboard and shrink-wrap balers

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, climb, and lift up to 100 lbs.

• Ability to work in warehouse environments with varying temperatures

• Comfortable working in conditions ranging from -10°F to 90°F

• Ability to perform repetitive hand and arm movements

• Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment and cleaning machinery

• Ability to work in noisy and fast-paced warehouse environments
