Financial Analyst - Onsite Role
DESCRIPTION OF EMPLOYER: Founded in 1901, Feeser’s, Inc. is a family-owned and operated full-line foodservice distributor located in Harrisburg, PA servicing the Mid-Atlantic region. Feeser’s provides an expansive offering of dry, refrigerated, and frozen products to a diverse customer base comprised of restaurants, healthcare facilities, educational facilities, and other institutions.
SUMMARY: The Financial Analyst will be responsible for driving enterprise performance management and complex financial modeling efforts across the Company. This role will gain an in-depth understanding of each key business and operational area and use the acquired knowledge to develop analytical trends and insights to advance profitability and efficiency. The Financial Analyst will work directly with department heads and senior company leadership to advance our data and analytic capabilities.
THIS IS AN ONSITE POSITION IN HARRISBURG, PA
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead analytical capabilities across departments (e.g. Sales, Purchasing, Warehouse, Transportation) focusing on analytical model creation, data visualization and reporting
Develop working knowledge of our go-to-market strategy and how each function supports the Company in its mission and achievement of annual performance
Initiate analyses with a growth mindset to solve problems, create alternatives, and provide recommendations to leadership based on quantitative and objective analysis
Take initiative and explore ways to better understand competitors, industry performance and macroeconomic trends as relevant for development of analytics
In concert with Corporate Financial Analyst, lead the development and evolution of analytics and reporting with transition to Oracle Fusion, Oracle Analytics Cloud and Oracle EPM
Understand day-to-day business operations to then utilize knowledge to identify areas where deeper analytics can provide meaningful insights for improvement
Analyze profitability down to the region, business segment, customer, and item category to understand and explain variability and opportunities for improved profitability
Manage day-to-day department budget activities including monitoring expenses, posting month-end accruals, supporting budget owners with requested information, explaining variances to budget, preparing reporting and management of risks and opportunities
Gain an understanding of vendor rebate process and identify additional analytics and capabilities with Oracle Fusion to inform actions
Work directly with Sales, Purchasing and Marketing to leverage rebate analytical insights to informed targeted purchase, sales and marketing behaviors to expand profitability
Work closely with Corporate Financial Analyst, Pricing Analyst and Rebate Analyst to drive a consistent and comprehensive approach to cross-functional recommendations
Assist in preparing monthly forecast updates and annual budget submissions, present findings to leadership with actional plan for implementation and value realization
Lead cash flow and working capital forecasting to ensure financial stability
Lead the execution of ad hoc projects focused on understanding and identifying actions to take to reduce costs, increase sales, or drive efficiency in operations
Stay informed about industry trends and economic factors that may impact the company's financial health.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Data Analysis, or a related field (Required)
2-4 years’ experience as a Finance or Data Analysts (Required)
Minimum intermediate experience with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint (required)
Experience with data analysis and presentation solutions; Power BI, Tableau, EPM (Preferred)
Oracle Analytics Cloud, Oracle EPM or Oracle Fusion experience a plus
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
Ability to physically stand, bend, squat, and lift equipment up to 20 pounds.
Communicating with others to exchange information.
